Nectar Birthing Collective Inc. is dedicated to supporting families on Long Island through resources, education, and community-based care. We believe in uplifting every family with culturally attuned support that reflects the unique needs and values of our communities.
Our mission goes beyond traditional care. In addition to providing birth and postpartum resources, we’re building initiatives like food pantries, community programs, and research to improve family wellness and health outcomes for all. Through services such as our Bloom & Gather nesting parties and holistic family support, we’re here to make sure that every family feels seen, supported, and connected.

Meet the Founder
Ashley Vaughn is a Long Island native, wife, mother of four, and the heart behind Nectar Birthing Collective Inc. With over 10 years in corporate training and leadership, Ashley brings her passion for empowering others into her work as a birthworker, serving families throughout Long Island. Her journey into maternal wellness and community care began with her own experiences as a mother, inspiring her to create a supportive, culturally attuned space for families to thrive.
Through Nectar Birthing Collective, Ashley combines her love for community, commitment to maternal health, and vision for equitable care. She’s dedicated to building a network where every family, especially those in BIPOC communities, feels seen, supported, and empowered from pregnancy through postpartum and beyond.
When she’s not working with families, Ashley believes that creating meaningful, holistic support can transform lives, and she’s honored to share that mission with the Long Island community.
